Whitecaps 2020 Promotional Schedule Announced

The West Michigan Whitecaps have unveiled their promotional schedule for the 2020 season at Fifth Third Ballpark.
Returning promotions include fan favorites such as Star Wars Night on May 30^th, Princess Night on June 12^th, Nick Jr. Night featuring PAW Patrol on July 10^th, and the return of the popular Beer City Bung Hammers on August 1^st.
“This year marks 27 seasons of Whitecaps baseball,” said Ben Love, promotions and entertainment manager for the Whitecaps. “The bar is set high to add bigger and better experiential fun to the Whitecaps experience each season. It’s going to be a great summer.”
The team also looks forward to a bevy of new promo nights for 2020. On May 26^th, they’ll be honoring Women in Sports, celebrating the 75^th Anniversary of the Grand Rapids Chicks. July 5th world record holder David “The Bullet” Smith, better known as the Human Cannonball, will return to Fifth Third Ballpark for a post-game blastoff!
On July 11^th, they’ll welcome WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan to Fifth Third Ballpark on Pro Wrestling Night. And they plan on turning their Meijer Hometown Playground into a mini water park for a rare noon game on July 1^st, dubbed “Super Splash Day.”
The holidays will no longer be relegated to the off-season, as the Whitecaps celebrate Christmas in July on July 25^th and Halloween Night on July 31^st, to go along with their 4^th of July Bash. Kids from Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital will once again take over the ballpark on their annual Kids Can Conquer Night, happening on August 25^th. And there promises to be a special, secret promotional night happening on Saturday August 22^nd.
 
The Whitecaps will become Las Calaveras de West Michigan as part of Minor League Baseball’s Copa de la Diversión for 3 dates this season: May 5^th, July 26^th, and August 15^th. And they’ll be welcoming pooches into the park on two occasions: July 12^th featuring Corgi Races sponsored by Bissel, and August 26^th in honor of National Dog Day.
Thrifty Thursdays will be returning with $2 beer, hot dogs, and Pepsi products. And Saturday nights will be capped off with Family Fare Fireworks displays.
Friday Nights will once again be for the kids with ‘FANomenal Fridays’ presented by Michigan Student Aid. These nights feature a “Kids Happy Hour” from 5:45-6:45 offering half off hot dogs
& 16 oz. sodas, free play on the inflatables, plus a kids-themed giveaway. In addition to Princess Night and Nick Jr. Night ft. PAW Patrol, their FANomenal Fridays will include Scooby Doo Night (May 8^th), Trolls Night (May 22^nd), Harry Potter Night (July 24^th), and Hero Night (August 21^st).                                   
Sundays will be Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Family Days, where the first 1,000 kids (12 and under) eat free (a hot dog, chips and a drink). They also offer the opportunity for player autographs and to play catch on the field pre-game, while kids run the bases after the game courtesy of Milk Means More.
Individual game tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 25^th. Their Safeco 4Topps tables go on sale Tuesday, February 18^th.
