Things went quite well with the new reinforcements. Ryan Kreidler homered in the fourth inning, while Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson each collected an RBI along the way. Jose Ureña got an inning of rehab work to open the game and picked up three quick outs before turning things over to Ricardo Pinto, who spun six innings of one-run ball.

Torkelson drove in Daz Cameron with a line drive sac fly to center field in the bottom of the first. Greene dumped an RBI single into left field in the second to plate Kreidler. And after Kreidler hit his solo shot in the fourth, Juan Centeno reached and later scored on an Isaac Paredes’ single. The Hens got three more in the seventh, two on a Centeno double, and cruised to victory.

Kreidler: 1-2, 2 R, RBI, HR, 2 BB

Centeno: 3-3, R, 2 RBI, BB, 2B

Clemens: 3-5, R, SO

Coming Up Next: Matthew Boyd will make his first rehab appearance for the Hens as the starter here, presumably going no further than two innings as they stretch him out. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Erie SeaWolves, 2 Richmond Flying Squirrels 1 (F/10)(box)

Joey Wentz put together a nice outing in this one, and the SeaWolves pulled it out with some 10th inning heroics. Wentz threw 79 pitches on the night, and was lifted with two outs in the fifth. He allowed one run on three hits, striking out six to just one walk. Wentz got in a bit of trouble in the first and wild pitched in a run, but really locked down the Squirrels the rest of his outing. Dylan Rosa tied things up with a second inning solo shot, and it was Rosa again in the top of the 10th, singling in Andre Lipcius as the go-ahead run. Gerson Moreno kept the Squirrels off the board in the bottom of the ninth, while Joe Navilhon spun a clean 10th to earn the save.

Rosa: 2-4, R, 2 RBI, HR, SO

Woodrow: 1-3, BB, SO, SB

Wentz: 4.2 IP, ER, 3 H, BB, 6 SO

West Michigan Whitecaps 5, Fort Wayne TinCaps 3 (box)

Starter Adam Wolf was on his game, and the Whitecaps fought off a charge from Fort Wayne to win on Tuesday. Wolf threw five shutout frames, allowing just four hits while striking out six. He got early run support when Daniel Cabrera singled in Gage Workman in the bottom of the first. Austin Murr later lifted a sacrifice fly to score Jake Holton as well.

Once Wolf was out of the game, reliever Michael Bienlien quickly allowed a pair of runs in the sixth, and Bryce Tassin leaked another in the seventh. Cooper Johnson made up the difference with an RBI double in the seventh and later came around to score on a wild pitch to re-capture the lead. Daniel Cabrera tripled and scored on a wild pitch in the eight for a little insurance.

Cabrera: 3-4, R, RBI, 3B

Johnson: 1-2, R, RBI, 2B, BB

Wolf: 5.0 IP, 0 ER, 6 SO

Lakeland Flying Tigers 3, Jupiter Hammerheads 1 (box)

The Flying Tigers broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning and went on to win on Tuesday night. Lakeland got on the board in the third with an RBI single from Colt Keith scoring the game’s first run. Lefty Carlos Pena got the start and he kept Jupiter off the scoreboard until the sixth inning, when he allowed an RBI triple to Victor Mesa that tied the game. Keith got the game winning rally going in the eighth, as he walked with one out. Eliezer Alfonzo reached on an error as Keith scored from first on the play and Alfonzo took second. A wild pitch moved him to third where Josh Crouch brought him home with a sacrifice fly. Isrrael De La Cruz and Gabriel Sequeira blanked the Hammerheads in relief out of Lakeland’s bullpen.

Keith: 1-2, R, RBI, 2 BB, SO

Malgeri: 2-4

Coming Up Next: RHP Wilmer FLores (1-1, 6.53 ERA) takes on Jupiter’s Hunter Perdue (0-0, 0.00 ERA) at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday.
