ABOUT LAST GAME: Miggy delivers walk-off 1B in Tigers’ 4-3 win over Guardians

Game notes: Yesterday’s game was postponed due to rain; the teams are scheduled to play a split doubleheader July 4. Faedo took the mound Saturday vs. the Guardians, allowing two runs over 5⅓ innings and getting his first career win. The punchless Tigers offense has done enough to win two games in a row but still hasn’t scored more than four runs since May 15.

Bieber faced Faedo and the Tigers last time out and took the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out 10. It was just his third loss in nine career starts vs. the Tigers.

The teams finish the series Sunday with a 1:40 p.m. start. We’ve entered the division-rivalry part of the schedule with the Tigers starting a five-games-in-four-days home series with the Minnesota Twins, after playing them the series prior to this, and the Guardians host the Kansas City Royals — they’ll see a lot of each other over the summer as this is their first matchup of the season.
