Check out the younger Meadows’ 2-HR game

Detroit Tigers

NORTH PORT, Fla. — Little brother showed he has some big pop in his bat, as the Tigers’ Parker Meadows crushed two homers in Spring Training action vs. Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.

The younger brother of teammate Austin and the Tigers’ No. 12 prospect per MLB Pipeline, Parker launched a pair of behemoth long balls at CoolToday Park — a solo homer in the fourth inning that bounced off the office building in right, and a two-run shot in the sixth that gave Detroit an 8-5 lead.

Meadows also had an RBI single in the fifth inning and a walk in the second. Batting in front of his younger brother in the fifth spot, Austin also poked an RBI single in the fifth and added a two-run single before Parker’s blast in the sixth.

Parker, a second-round Draft pick of the Tigers in 2018, hit 20 homers and drove in 58 runs over 127 games between High-A West Michigan and Double-A Erie in ’22. Saturday’s home runs were his third and fourth this spring.
