We love a good baseball tee, and more than that, we love a good tee that celebrates fun traditions. The fine folks at BreakingT have designed a new vintage-inspired tee that is an ode to the Tigers’ 2024 home run tradition: the pizza spear.
The pizza spear (which, in the true tradition of baseball, has its own sponsor, which is naturally Little Cesar’s), is a spear with three foam pizzas affixed to it, that is presented to whichever Tiger hits a home run. We’ve already seen fan versions pop up in the stands, and it’s the kind of silly, delightful fun that we should celebrate in baseball.
The new shirt design features the spear and an adorable throwback tiger, with a cheeky nod to the sponsor in the “Homer, Homer” caption detailing. It’s an of-the-moment offering, but the kind of thing that can be worn long down the road.
