Legendary Hens Broadcaster Passes Away

Toledo Mud Hens
The Hall of Fame voice of Toledo Mud Hens baseball passed away on Friday, August 2nd. Jim Weber started broadcasting Mud Hens games in 1975. He was on the call for 6,935 consecutive games. In 2014, he became the first broadcaster inducted into the International League Hall of Fame. The Bowsher high school grad started announcing games while he still worked at Jeep almost 50 years ago. He is survived by his wife Kay and two daughters.
