The Tigers announced they’ve designated reliever Bennett Sousa for assignment. That’s the 40-man move for Miguel Díaz, whose contract was selected last night. Detroit just nabbed Sousa off waivers from Milwaukee on Tuesday. It’s possible his stay in the organization won’t result in an appearance, as the Tigers will now have to put him back on waivers.
