A sold-out crowd of 9,481 saw the Toledo Mud Hens top the Indianapolis Indians, 7-1, on Sunday night. Ryan Strieby went 1-4 with an eighth inning two-run homer to deep centerfield. LHP Fu-Te Ni started tonight’s contest, in place of Adam Wilk who was called up to Detroit earlier in the day.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, the Toledo Mud Hens (22-23) fell to the Pawtucket Red Sox (22-21) by a score of 2-1. LHP Ramon Garcia (0-2) performed well in a spot start, however, the Red Sox were able to win a hard fought pitchers duel.
Will Rhymes hit a walk off double to give the Hens a 4-3 victory on a sunny Mother’s Day at Fifth Third Field. Starting pitcher Duane Below threw another gem for the Hens, giving up just two hits and striking out eleven in eight innings of work.
