Allentown, PA The Toledo Mud Hens fell 4-2 in Father’s Day contest versus IronPigs.

The Mud Hen’s offense got going quickly after the Hens were able to put runners on first and second after a double by Parker Meadows and a walk to Nick Solak. Justyn-Henry Malloy then singled to left field to load the bases with no outs. IronPigs starter Bailey Falter was able to get one out before *Andre Lipcius singled to left field to score the game’s first run and put the Mud Hens up 1-0 early. The next batter Andrew Knapp hit an infield single that scored the second Mud Hens run to put the Hens up 2-0 in the first.

Matt Wisler made the start for the Toledo Mud Hens, making just his second start of the season and his first road start of the year. Wisler only pitched the first inning for the Mud Hens and after allowing one hit, Wisler retired the side without giving up a run.

Replacing Wisler in the second inning was Jack O’Loughlin. O’Loughlin pitched four strong innings for the Mud Hens, allowing just one earned run and keeping the Mud Hens infront in a 2-1 ball game. In those four innings, O’Loghlin allowed just one hit, one walk and recorded six strikeouts.

The one run that was scored through the first six innings of the game for the IronPigs came by way of a Jake Cave solo home run in the third inning.

Aneurys Zabala entered the game in sixth inning for the Mud Hens. After pitching a scorless sixth inning, the IronPigs were able to put two runners on for Drew Ellis. Ellis roped a three-run homerun over the left field wall to jump the IronPigs out infront and take a 4-2 lead over the Mud Hens in the late innings.

The Mud Hens we’re held scoreless throught the rest of the game, the only offense coming in the very first inning as the IronPigs secured a 4-2 victory over the Hens.

The IronPigs used six pitchers in the contest, the bullpen pitched five scorless innings to keep the IronPigs in the ball game and eventually take the lead in the seventh for the win.
