Madison Bumgarner’s 2014 World Series was one of the greatest pitching performances in Fall Classic history. In Game 1, he threw 7 innings, giving up just one run while striking out 5 in an opening game win. In Game 2, Bumgarner threw a complete game shutout, striking out 8 in another win. And finally, MadBum appeared in Game 7 in a relief appearance. He threw 5 shutout innings to lead the Giants to their 3rd World Series championship in 6 years.
