Spencer Turnbull got the no-no for the Detroit Tigers, but his closer had the final word

Detroit Free Press

Spencer Turnbull made history on Tuesday night with the Detroit Tigers‘ eighth no-hitter in franchise history — or was it Wednesday morning. Depends on where you were watching, we supposed.

In any event, there were plenty of Tigers fans watching, despite the 10:10 p.m. start time in Detroit. (For what it’s worth, the game moved fairly speedily, wrapping up at 12:55 a.m. in Detroit — a far cry from some games this season — hiiiii, Red Sox!)
