DETROIT — As a fun, new way to give Detroit Tigers fans an opportunity to access unique memorabilia from their favorite players and enjoy exclusive experiences, the Detroit Tigers Foundation is hosting the “Detroit Roots” Online Auction from now through Aug. 31.

This exciting auction will feature special Tigers items made available for a limited time only, as well as specific highlighted offers each week. There will also be exclusive memorabilia and one-of-a-kind items that are available through the entire auction period.

Auction items include a virtual meet-and-greet with Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer; a behind-the-scenes experience with Detroit’s broadcasters; a chance to meet Detroit’s 2021 first-round Draft pick, Jackson Jobe, on his first trip to Comerica Park; numerous autographed and unsigned merchandise items; tickets to a Tigers game in the Tiger Den during Fan Appreciation Weekend this season; tickets to an upcoming Detroit Red Wings, throwing out the first pitch at a Toledo Mud Hens game and much more.

Special “Flash” packages will also be unlocked throughout the auction period for 72 hours only, giving fans a chance to bid on a virtual pitching or hitting mechanics analysis by a Tigers position coach (Aug. 24-26) or a virtual meet-and-greet with Tigers manager A.J. Hinch (Aug. 29-31). The current flash sale, featuring a chance to virtually go head-to-head against Tigers pitcher Derek Holland in “MLB The Show,” is available through Thursday.
