Game Highlights: Schoop Slam Leads Tigers to Comeback Win

Detroit Tigers
Jonathan Schoop’s grand slam in the bottom of the 7th brought the Tigers back from a 4-3 deficit, leading the way to a 10-4 win. Miguel Cabrera entered the game 7 for his last 7, then picked up hits in his first 2 at bats to make a 9 for 9 streak. That’s the longest by a player 38 years or older since Ty Cobb in 1925. Meanwhile, Eric Haase, Jeimer Candelario and Victor Reyes also shined in a big night for the Tigers offense against a first place team.
