Detroit Tigers

Right-hander Michael Lorenzen agreed on Wednesday to a one-year, $8.5 million contract with the Tigers, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The club has not confirmed the deal, which includes $1.5 million in performance bonuses.

Lorenzen, who turns 31 in January, went 8-6 with a 4.24 ERA in 18 starts for the Angels last season. He struck out 85 and walked 44 in 97 2/3 innings, making the jump to the Angels’ rotation after pitching mostly in relief since his rookie season in 2015.
