There IS crying in baseball — Victor Martinez retirement ceremony at Comerica Park

Bally Sports Detroit
Very emotional day in Detroit. This was the FINAL game in the major leagues for Victor Martinez, a five-time All-Star whose career spanned 16 seasons. There were heartfelt speeches, parting gifts, and lots of tears/cheers.

There was also a ton of baseball action. Before the game, I got a few baseballs and autographs, and then for the first time ever, I wore my GoPro DURING the game to try to film myself catching a foul ball. Comerica Park is one of the best places to snag one, and let’s just say I walked out of there feeling good and happy.

This video was filmed on September 22, 2018. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for three more regular-season videos! Yes, I’m waaaaay behind, so I’m sure there’ll be comments along the lines of: “Huh? It’s October, and the Tigers aren’t in the playoffs. How is he still going to games?” If you see stuff like that, kindly inform these folks that this video was filmed a couple of weeks ago. (Like, duh.)
