Grossman’s 1st walk-off HR beats Yankees

Detroit Tigers

Grossman’s first career walk-off homer came after the Yankees went ahead in the top of the 10th on a wild pitch and gave the Tigers their 20th win of the season.

Grossman’s bat flip was a result of not only the Tigers walking away with a win, but also sending the ball 366 feet to left with an exit velocity of 98.1 mph, according to Statcast.

The Tigers and Yankees were tied at 1 for most of the game as starters Casey Mize and Gerrit Cole provided a Friday night pitching duel between two former No. 1 overall Draft picks.
