Westbrook hit .287 with 11 home runs, 21 walks and 42 strikeouts in 70 games for Triple-A Nashville last season. Through three games this season, he is hitting .500 (5-for-10) with one double.

The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Westbrook in the fifth round of the 2013 draft. He elected free agency after the 2019 season and has since signed minor-league deals with the San Francisco Giants and Brewers, though he didn’t play for the Giants in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Westbrook, with the minors canceled in 2020, competed for the Sugar Land Lighting Sloths in the Constellation Energy League, an independent league.
