GAME RECAP (COLUMBUS, OH): Trailing 3-1 in the series, the Mud Hens looked to get back in the win column, as they took on the Columbus Clippers. Manager Lloyd McClendon called RHP Logan Shore to the mound today, seeking his third win of the season. CF Riley Greene and RF Austin Meadows would continue their rehab assignments for tonight’s game. As planned, LHP Tyler Alexander would be set to relieve pitch later in the event.

In the bottom of the second, the Clippers drew first-blood with an RBI double to center field, giving them the early 1-0 lead. However, the Mud Hens would respond with a couple of home runs. 2B Jamie Westbrook would tally his sixth homer of the season in the fifth, as RF Austin Meadows would tally his first Toledo homer in the sixth, giving the Mud Hens a 2-1 lead.

RHP Logan Shore would go lights out after giving up the one run earlier in the game, as he tallied three strikeouts in four innings of work. He would allow three hits and no walks. LHP Tyler Alexander came out to relief as an MLB rehab for the Hens, going two more solid innings. He would tally four strikeouts, allowing no walks or hits.

The Mud Hens gained a few insurance runs in the eighth. After a couple of walks, a wild pitch, and just one out away, DH Ryan Lavarnway would hit a sacrifice fly, driving in CF Riley Greene. Lavarnway now has 23 RBIs on the year. 2B Jamie Westbrook would snag his second RBI of the day, singling to right field, scoring LF Trayce Thompson. The Mud Hens had a 4-1 lead in top of the eighth, however the Clippers would snag a run in the bottom eighth.

Leading 4-2, the Mud Hens looked like they had the game set. However, the Clippers would stun the Hens with a three-run blast in the ninth, walking off a 5-4 victory over Toledo.

NEXT UP: The Mud Hens will look to shake the stunning loss off tomorrow, at 1:05pm ET. The Mud Hens will close the series with the Clippers, in Columbus before heading back to Fifth-Third Field.
