TOLEDO – The Toledo Mud Hens fell to the Columbus Clippers 9-4 on Saturday night at Fifth Third Field.
Chris Rabago led the way with two hits, including a solo home run, his second home run of the season. Josh Lester picked up a two-hit night, while scoring a run.

His hitting streak is now at eight games. Jamie Westbrook clobbered a three-run home run, his lone hit. Derek Hill and Brendon Davis each tallied a base hit.

Bryan Garcia tallied the start for the Mud Hens, pitching 1.2 innings and allowing one run on three hits, two walks and two strikeouts. Shea Spitzbarth came in for 0.1 inning, allowing one walk. Logan Shore pitched 1.0 inning, allowing one hit and one strikeout. Sam Howard notched 1.0 inning of relief, surrendering one run on three hits, including a home run. Nolan Blackwood had the longest outing of the evening, pitching 2.0 innings, allowing three runs on three hits, including two home runs and a hit batsman. Jesus Liranzo surrendered four runs on two hits, one walk and a hit batsman, and was unable to record an out. Nick Vincent pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two strikeouts. Derek Law pitched 1.1 shutout innings to close out the game, picking up a strikeout.
