Game notes: The Tigers’ final division game of the season comes against the Twins, who have won the season series already. Minnesota has won the season series each year since 2016. Wentz’s second start of the season was against the Twins, throwing four scoreless while allowing a hit and striking out four. He had a strong September, making four starts and striking out 18 while allowing 13 hits and five runs over 21⅓ innings.

The Tigers end the season with four games on the road vs. the newly playoff-bound Seattle Mariners while the Twins get a trio of road games vs. the Chicago White Sox.
