And finally, the Detroit Tigers officially postponed Friday’s game, scheduled for 6:40 p.m., because of inclement weather at Comerica Park in Detroit. The Tigers have postponed three games this season.

There will be a split doubleheader Saturday for the second and third games in the four-game series. The split doubleheader begins with Game 1 at 12:10 p.m., followed by Game 2 at 5:10 p.m. The series concludes at 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

The pitching matchup, before Friday’s postponement, was left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez vs. right-hander Grayson Rodriguez. Eduardo Rodriguez has a 0.43 ERA with one walk and 19 strikeouts in 21 innings over his past three starts.

After Thursday’s 7-4 loss, the Tigers have lost four straight games against the Orioles in the 2023 season. There are three games remaining, including Saturday’s doubleheader, between the teams in the season series. The loss dropped the Tigers to 1-12 against AL East teams this season.
