Diamondbacks RHP Zac Gallen (7-2, 2.75) vs. Tigers LHP Joey Wentz (1-6, 7.49).

Gallen gave up two runs (one earned) in six innings a start against the Braves last week at Chase Field, taking the no-decision in a game the Diamondbacks lost in the ninth inning on a grand slam by OF Eddie Rosario. … Gallen allowed a home run to 2B Ozzie Albies in that game, snapping a string of 10 consecutive starts without allowing a long ball. He has given up just three homers in 78 2/3 innings this season. … Wentz gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings against the Phillies his last time out, the fifth consecutive start in which he was unable to complete five innings. … Righties have hammered him so far this year, hitting .335/.380/.594 with 11 homers in 170 at-bats. … He has allowed a .409 average and .682 slugging off his four-seam fastball, which averages 93.8 mph.
